Six Steps:  

1. By returning the sheriff's department to the supervision and control of the sheriff, who will be accessible to the public.



2. By utilizing all resources and personnel of the department to focus on PROMPT, COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT, AND PROFESSIONAL service to all of Cumberland County .



3. By concentrating on the prevention, detection, and prosecution of criminal activity at the most cost effective methods possible.



4. By developing a Criminal Investigation Division of trained Investigators specializing in the areas of VIOLENT CRIMES, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, CHILD AND ELDER ABUSE, DRUG TRAFFICKING, BURGLARY AND THEFT.



5. By cooperating fully with all Law Enforcement agencies Local, State and Federal to achieve our common goal of protecting our citizens and curbing criminal activity.



6. By providing our children with Drug Abuse Education and the feeling of security in our schools with trained and certified School Resource Officers.
