Ten Steps:  

1. Return the office of the sheriff to the SUPERVISION and CONTROL of an ACCESSIBLE, WORKING sheriff, who is concerned with the property and safety of our citizens.



2. By requiring all personnel the PROMPT, COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT, & PROFESSIONAL SERVICE the people of Cumberland Co. deserve.



3. By returning the FOCUS of the Sheriff's office to the PREVENTION, DETECTION, and PROSECUTION of criminal activity in our county.



4. By developing a Criminal Investigation Division of trained Investigators specializing in the areas of VIOLENT CRIMES, CHILD AND ELDER ABUSE, DRUG TRAFFICKING, BURGLARY AND THEFT.



5. By cooperating fully with all Law Enforcement agencies Local, State and Federal to achieve our common goal of CURBING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY & PROTECTING THE CITIZENS of our county.



6. By working with our School Board and County Commission to provide our school children with the feeling of SAFETY & SECURITY in our schools.



7. By working with our Judges, Prosecutors, and State Legislators to ensure STIFFER PENALTIES & PAYMENT OF RESTITUTION upon conviction of crimes involving theft of property and violence.



8. By developing work programs for inmates in jail to help defray cost of maintenance to County properties, thereby saving tax dollars.
   
   
   
9. By working with the County Commission to develop a "County Work Farm" where inmates will grow and harvest vegetables to cut down on the cost of their upkeep, with any surplus being given to the less fortunate in our county.



10. By observing all Civil and Human Rights of inmates; but letting them know "Jail is a place you don't want to be" because the "Revolving Door" will be closed.
